1) Remove the old nail paint :-
Before you start off with your manicure, you need to remove the old nail paint.Soaking your nails for a few seconds before clipping them prevents breakage.
2)Cut and file your nails:-Use nail clippers and trim your nails. Don't cut them too short; you should be able to see at least a little of the white tip still, all the way across. Using a nail file, file the nail and create a smooth and clean shape. Gently drag the file across the nail, rather than pushing it. Excessive force or sawing back and forth will weaken the nails and cause them to break.
3)Soak & Scrub:-
Place some warm water in a tub, making sure it is at a comfortable temperature. Add a cleanser to the water. Your face cleanser will work perfectly in this case because adding anything soapy will dry the gentle skin of your hands and make your cuticles look worse. The ideal soaking time is about three minutes. While it is extremely essential to soak the cuticles before trimming them, over soaking can damage the skin and nails.Once you have soaked your hands, apply a gentle scrub, and scrub your hands. Use a brush to clean your nails. Scrubbing and exfoliating will successfully remove the dead skin, using a cuticle pusher, gently push your cuticles. Wash your hands with clean water and then pat them dry.
4)Oil massage:-
Choose a massage medium.
Jojoba oil( makes your skin supple)Aloe Vera (hydrates your skin)
Shea butter( seals in moisture and prevents cracking)
Almond oil (deeply moisturizes your skin. However, people with nut allergies should avoid this oil)
Warm a dime-sized portion of the medium by rubbing it between your hands. Next, spread the warmed medium along the forearm and on both sides of the hand that will be massaged. Use slow, relaxing motions as you work to continue warming the medium.Examine the skin for abrasions and cuts. If you see anything suspicious, don’t do the massage. Otherwise, you’ll risk irritating a wound and causing an infection.Massage your finger. Start with the pinkie and work towards the thumb, massaging one finger at a time. Gently pinch the base of each finger between the knuckles of your index and middle finger. Next, slowly drag your knuckles down to the tip of the finger, squeezing gently. Repeat this process several times.Massage your hand for 15 minutes and you leave this as it is or wash it with lukewarm water.
5)Glam It Up With Nail Polish:-
This is an optional step. You may or may not want to apply a nail polish. If you plan to add some color to your nails, you need to make sure there is no moisturizer left on the nails as it will not allow the nail paint to stick well. Use a cotton swab to remove the excess cream from the nail surface.
